Reed Kessler

Julia Tops

Julia represents Canada and is a rising star in the world of showjumping who without doubt will be a rider worth following. 

Date of birth: 24.12.1997 
Lives: Calgary, Alberta Canada
Competing for: Canada 

Influential people in Julia's career: The most predominant influence has been her parents, Tani Zeidler and Jan Tops, who were both international world class riders, having always supported and encouraged her. In addition, Julia has been blessed to be taught by a variety of trainers, each giving her an instrumental aspect of her knowledge. Most notably Missy Clark and John Brennan, Bobbie Reber, Eddie Macken and Dick Carvin, Susie Schroer and Francie Steinwedell-Carvin.

Favorite Kingsland product: The classic riding pants, they are the most comfortable I have ever ridden in and fit well. As well, the winter down jacket is my favorite as they are warm and cozy for the harsh winters.

Best Training Advice: Be comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Spencer Smith

Spencer is one of America’s up-and-coming riders. He competed at the 2013 and 2012 FEI North American Championships for juniors and young riders, and in 2015 he won the CSIOY Nations Cup as well as the Grand Prix in Wellington.

Laura Graves

Laura Graves hails from Geneva, Florida and had a breakout year in 2015, including her first-ever appearance at the Reem Acra Fei World Cup Dressage Final with her beloved Verdades.

Influential people in Laura's career: My family has been my biggest support over the years. I owe all of my current success to my coach, Debbie McDonald, who has always believed in me and in this horse.

Favourite Kingsland product: My favorite Kingsland product is the Bayport Polo Shirt. It is an amazing technical material that dried incredible fast and maintains a feminine and professional appearance.

Best training advice: Each horse is an individual. They all have different strenghts and weaknesses and develop at different paces. It is important not to foget this in the daily training.

Beat Mändli

Beat Mändli has been one of the world’s best riders for years. Mändli won team silver at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, and also became World Cup Champion in 2007 – to mention some of his many great achievements which also include silver and bronze team medals from the European Championships.

His brother Markus, as  well as Ted and Liz Edgar with whom he stayed with in England when he was 19.

Geir Gulliksen

Norwegian show jumper Geir Gulliksen is an active and successful show jumper both in the national and international arenas. Geir aka “Jimmy” has represented Norway in several World Championships and European Championships as well as the Olympic Games in Beijing.

Victoria Gulliksen

Norwegian show jumper Victoria Gulliksen is doing what she loves the most, and doing it 100%. Victoria is competing both nationally and internationally with her top horses.

Influential people in Victoria’s career: Her mum and dad who have supported her, and her horse owners Jørn Longem, Jens Petter Bjørdal, and Ole Einar Bjørndalen. The latter has also meant a lot for Victoria as her mental coach.

Johan-Sebastian Gulliksen

Johan-Sebastian Gulliksen is the youngest crewmember of the Gulliksen family. Johan-Sebastian finished high school in June 2015 and has been doing horses full time ever since.

Camilla Storemark

The Norwegian rider Camilla Storemark is a rising star in the international show jumping arena.

Influential people in Camilla’s career: Her mum and dad. Camilla’s dad has been her trainer from when she started to ride.

Favorite Kingsland product: If she has to choose just one product, it’s the Mensa down jacket. It has kept Camilla warm during the cold and long Norwegian winter.

Dag Ove Kingsrød

Dag Ove has been part of the Norwegian Showjumping Team as a Junior, Young Rider and Senior and is still competing at the highest level Internationally. Dag Ove was a part of the Norwegian Show jumping team at the World Equestrian Games in 2014.

Guy Williams

British showjumper Guy Williams has been one of the most winning riders on the circuit over the last years, and in 2011 he won team bronze at the European Championships.

Influential people in Guy’s career: 

British rider Peter Charles who gave Guy a lot of guidance when he was growing up and starting his career, as well as Guy’s father – Mick Williams – who always encouraged him and did what he could to get Guy the best ponies to help his career in its early years. And of course his owners and horses – without them he wouldn't be who he is today!

Favorite Kingsland product: His first ever Kingsland Goose Down Puffa Jacket; Guy still has it now and it’s his favourite item of clothing overall.

Ole Kristoffer Meland

Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli

Swedish show jumper Angelica Augustsson Zanotelli had her big breakthrough winning the World Cup qualifier in Gothenburg in 2011. Since 2014 Angelica has been is based in Belgium.

Linnea Ericsson-Carey

Linnea has represented Denmark in several Nations Cups and Grand Prix classes over the years. She is brilliant with the young horses and builds up one Grand Prix horse after the other.

Ottilia Lundgren

The Swedish talent Ottilia Lundgren did a fantastic European Championship for ponies in 2015 and is a rider to keep an eye on for the future.

Influential people in Ottilia's career: Her mum, dad and trainer Anna Emanuelsson.

Favorite Kingsland product: The blankets because they have a perfect fit and are good even for the narrow horses. The breaches because they are very comfortable to ride in.

Best training advice: “Take your time to get the horses smooth and strong. The most important thing is to make the horses feel like kings and queens and to get them on your side to become a real team and to fight for each other.”

Charlotte Dujardin

Charlotte Dujardin OBE is an elite British dressage rider, Double Gold Medalist at the London 2012 Olympics Games, European Champion, World Champion and holds all three World Records in Dressage. She is one of the equestrian world’s super stars together with the just as famous gelding Valegro.

Alan Davies

Alan works with Kingsland rider Charlotte Dujardin, and is the first groom to be sponsored by Kingsland. Alan has groomed at the Olympic Games, World Championships and European Championships.

Influential people in Alan's career: Alan has worked in a lot of different disciplines in the equestrian world and have been lucky to work with many top riders, vets and farriers over the years. He spent four years working in USA which was a huge learning experience which he will never forget. The last six years, Alan had the 'most amazing time' working with Carl and Charlotte helping them through six years of championships and winning gold medals!

Anna Kasprzak

Olympic rider Anna Kasprzak is very focused in her training, and her results speak for themselves. Anna represented Denmark at the Olympic Games in London as well as the World Equestrian Games in 2014 and at the European Championships both in 2013 and 2015.

Morgan Barbançon Mestre

Olympic dressage rider Morgan Barbançon Mestre had her big breakthrough with her now retired beauty of a stallion; Painted Black. Together they competed at the Olympic Games in London as well as the World Equestrian Games in 2014 and the European Championships in 2015. Morgan now continues her promising career with a younger crew of talented horses.

Andreas Helgstrand

Danish dressage rider Andreas Helgstrand is known to most dressage riders around the world. He is one of the most successful and influential riders and trainers in the sport.

Influential people in Andreas’ career: Both his trainers Morten Thomsen and Rudolf Zeilinger have meant a lot to him. Although Andreas already was at Grand Prix level when he started training with them, they have 

taught him a lot and helped him to the top.

Alexandra Andresen

Alexandra Andresen is a part of the Norwegian Dressage National Team and has achieved great success as a junior rider. With her red stallion Belamour, Alexandra won the individual test and kûr silver during the 2014 European Junior Riders Championships and the kur bronze at the 2013 European Junior Riders Championships.

Favorite Kingsland product: Ladies long sleeved training shirt

Best training advice: Pet and reward your horse when he answers your aids. Make sure training doesn't become too monotonous and boring. Keep your horse happy, relaxed and willing to work. Remember, the horse can feel even a fly sitting on it, so you don't need to whip or kick it in order to make it react! Be 100% committed. Always be eager to learn and most of all, never give up!

Lotte Skjærbæk

Danish rider Lotte Skjærbæk belives in consistent training and keeping your horse happy to get the results you want.

Date of birth: 11.09.1968

Lives: Nykøbing Mors, Denmark

Competing for: Denmark

Influential people in Lotte’s career: Her parents, as they were the first people to support her. On daily basis her parents took Lotte to the riding club and later on bought her a horse.

Now as her hobby has become her work, Lotte points out that in order to be successful you need a lot of odd people around you; a good groom you can trust, a good blacksmith and people who can keep your horse healthy. 

The most important person for Lotte though is her husband (and trainer) who is there for her every day when she trains Rafael and other horses.

Favorite Kingsland product: So far, Lotte hasn't tried one thing from the dressage line that she doesn't like, but if she needs to pick a favorite it’s the brown dressage jacket.

Best training advice: Consistent training, and keeping your horse happy!

Marlon Modolo Zanotelli

Marlon is based in Belgium and has really showed his great show jumping talent the last years. In addition to numerous wins at top level he was also a part of the Brazilian team at the World Equestrian Games in 2014.

Influential people in Marlon's career: According to Marlon there are many people to thank, but especially his his family who are always there for him and Enda Carroll/the Ashford team who believes in him and has given him all possible support.

Leopold van Asten

2015 Dutch Champion, with a long list of Grand Prix wins and one of the most respected riders on the circuit.

Competing for: The Netherlands

Influential people in Leopold’s career: His parents who gave him the chance to ride, and went with him and his brother to shows every weekend when he was younger. In addition to his parents, Dutch trainer Henk Nooren has played an important part in Leopold’s career as has his sponsor Wim van der Leegte who for the last twelve years has supported Leopold. 

Favorite Kingsland product: Most of them; especially the jackets and breeches.

Best training advice: Always be clear and consequent to your horses, so they understand what you mean!



Gregory Wathelet

Belgian showjumper Gregory Wathelet became 2015 European Vice Champion, and was also on the winning team in the 2015 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Final in Barcelona.
